The Hubspot Zoom integration will update the first and last name in Hubspot, if it’s different.
People who attend zoom webinars often quickly enter their names, sometimes, they make typos or even reverse their first and last names. We have found that the name as it exists in Hubspot is always more accurate.
We’d like to prevent the integration from updating the name properties in Hubspot.
hey team, commenting on behalf of a customer here. It’ll be really helpful if we can toggle this setting off as more often than not, there are instances where the contact mispells their name or enters it differently from the way it is saved on HubSpot. Hopefully we can work towards a setting of sorts for this, thanks!(-:
Agree! This is critical - students/subscribers will mistype their names, transpose first/last, etc which can effect other integrations and contracts.

I support this as well! Having the ability to toggle this setting off is extremely necessary and will save us time spent correcting individual records.
I absolutely agree and support preventing the Zoom integration from updating the name properties in Hubspot.
This is critical to maintaining correct and accurate records.
Please block the updating of records based upon a Zoom login. Perhaps simply a field that has Zoom Name or something that is not affiliated with the customer’s record.
Absolutely necessary for accurate record keeping!
Has there been any update on this? Contacts in our database are still getting their names overwritten by Zoom.
