Your HubSpot call reports are only as good as what your reps log after each call

Hey HubSpot community! This is something I see a lot with sales teams and it quietly kills reporting accuracy.

Most calling integrations log that a call happened but leave it up to the rep to manually select the call outcome and categorize it correctly afterward. In practice, agents skip it, select the wrong type, or forget entirely, especially in high-volume Power Dialer sessions. By the time someone pulls a report in HubSpot, the data is a mess.

Here’s how we handle it at Aloware. We sync your HubSpot call outcomes and call types, including any custom ones you’ve configured in HubSpot, directly into Aloware, so reps are selecting from the exact same values your HubSpot reports expect. Once a call wraps up, the outcome and call type sync back to HubSpot instantly. No manual cleanup, no lag.

And if you want to enforce it, admins can turn on a setting that prevents reps from finishing a call or moving to the next contact in the Power Dialer without selecting a call type first. Keeps the data clean without relying on anyone to remember.

I work at Aloware, an AI-powered phone system built natively for HubSpot. If this sounds like something your team needs, you can find us on the HubSpot App Marketplace.

The hard stop in the Power Dialer is the interesting part to me. Soft nudges (reminders, required fields that let you skip anyway) rarely survive contact with a busy rep, so it tracks that enforcement is what actually keeps the taxonomy clean. Have you seen pushback from reps once that hard stop is on @manueladc, or does it settle in within a week or two once they learn the shortcut keys for picking an outcome?

It’s actually off by default so admins choose to turn it on intentionally. And since the call type options sync directly from your own HubSpot account, reps are picking from categories they already recognize, which helps a lot. You can also keep the list short by only configuring the types you actually need in HubSpot.
