Hello everyone!
I have created a workflow that alerts us in Slack with a message when we receive a new lead. The problem I have is that the phone number that appears in Slack is completely different from the one in Hubspot, generally losing the format and/or the Country Code.
Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks!

Hi @lnpg26,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

I did some research and found [this forum post on Stack Overflow](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/53771727/formatting-phone-number-in-slack-message), where the original poster managed to send phone numbers to Slack in the right format (and make them appear as clickable links) by adding dashes (-) between the numbers. The numbers in HubSpot should look something like this: 604-445-5566.

I saw a user mentioning that including the + before the country code worked for them.

I also wanted to invite a couple of other Community members to this conversation:

Hi [@alan\_sp](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/310907), [@JTarragó](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/206679), @RKenner, I believe you have experience integrating apps with Slack, do you have any advice for @lnpg26? Thank you!

Cheers

I saw that post. The issue I’m having is that the phone number in the Slack message lacks the Country Code, and when you check the contact in Hubspot, the phone number is complete there. I think it could be a problem with the integration between HS and Slack, and it’s exporting only the phone number without the country code.

I see, thank you for checking the article @lnpg26!

Could you share a screenshots with an example:

- phone number in your HubSpot account,
- phone number in the Slack message,
- as well as a screenshot of your workflow?

If you’ll be sharing examples of real phone numbers, please blur them out so they’re not recognizable. Thank you!

Hi @lnpg26 ,

 ![JigarT_0-1692248902515.png](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/1/5/158c21d5caa592248ec932dc5824ee144eb0b192.png)

There are two ways you can do:

1. If you are using the Enterprise plan then you can use the “Custom code” option.
2. And if you are using the professional plan then there is no option for managing the phone number format. However there is a workaround, you can follow the below steps:

→ HubSpot provides the number formatting by default. You can simply remove the number formatting from the phone number property you are using.

→ Post that in the Slack message workflow you can simply add the “Country” property so one can identify from which country the lead belongs to.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions ? I’d be happy to help. 🙂

Hey everyone!
I fixed it. There was a mistake in our sign-up forms and it was changing the phone number. It’s working now.
Thanks everyone for the support!
