Some deals created by the below workflow are not being associated to a company, despite this being a specified action in the workflow
It seems to conistently happen with contacts, who already have a deal, enter this workflow. A new company and deal are created which is perfect, but then the new deal is not associated to any of the companies the contact is associated with.
Is this a common problem?

I would suggest adding some delays in the steps in your workflow. It’s likely that the Deal that is created doesn’t recognize the association between contact and company because both are created at so close to the same time. A delay of just a minute or two might make a difference for you.
Also, creating a Company and associating it to a contact is a native functionality of HubSpot and shouldn’t require a workflow action unless you have significant numbers of contacts using free emails (gmail, etc.) that you want to associate with those contacts, in which case, you may need to disable the standard feature, which I would not recommend unless it’s unavoidable. It’s conceivable to me that you are ending up with duplicate company records as a result of this and it is interfering with the associations.
