Workflow Reenrollment Limitations Based on Activities: Notes, Meetings, Calls, etc.

The current limitations around re-enrolling based on engagement activities (such as notes, meetings, and calls) are significantly restricting our ability to fully leverage HubSpot workflows.

As a temporary workaround, we’re relying on active lists to trigger re-enrollment, but this isn’t a sustainable solution—especially given the list limits, even on the Enterprise tier. There are numerous use cases where lifting these restrictions would greatly enhance automation capabilities.

We’d prefer not to rely on more cobbled solutions, but unfortunately, it seems that continuing to cobble things together within HubSpot remains necessary in 2025. Thank you for your consideration.

I’m in the same boat, except I’m looking to do something even simpler. I want to send an internal email each time someone logs a note. The only workaround I was able to find is to re-enroll based on Last Activity Date. That means the email alert goes out for every activity, not just the note.

It just makes so much sense for someone to be able to write a note, and for someone else to get an alert that the note was written.

Or any number of other workflows for that matter. Why not allow note-based re-enrollment?
