I’m creating a workflow that will send an automated email to prospects the day after the Deal that they’re associated with is moved to our “Qualified to Buy” deal stage.
I’ve set up the Trigger to be:

- **Deal stage** is any of **Qualified to Buy**

AND

- **Deal stage** has been updated in the last **1 day** (to prevent emails from sending if the deal has been in that deal stage for several weeks, for example)

After the enrollment trigger is met, the workflow includes a 1-day delay before sending the email.

My question: if a team member were to accidentally move a deal to the “Qualified to Buy” deal stage, realize their mistake, and move the deal to the correct deal stage, would the deal/contact be enrolled in the workflow? I assume no, because then the Trigger of “Deal stage is Qualified to Buy” would no longer be applicable, but want to double check.

I think it will get enroll because you have placed the trigger of workflow as Deal stage - “Qualify to buy” and you accidently moved deal to this stage so it will enroll you could have fraction of seconds before hubspot identifies but I know hubspot is fast.

I am thinking a workaround here for this situation is you have added a delay of one day so add one more condition and use same filter as in your trigger and if condition meets then only the email will sent. So if accidently you moved deal to this stage you still have one day to move deal to right stage so when after one day condition check your deal will not go further because this condition will become false.

I hope this helps.

Hi @BHartSchmidt ,
This can be easily sorted out, add one more check for deal status after 1-day delay and before sending email. And from this check you can filter out the mistakenly updated deals.
Thanks!

Hi @BHartSchmidt

As you have trigger Deal Stage **“Qualified to buy”** and updated in **last 1 day**. So, ones you make the deal stage “Qulaified to buy” it will not get enroll immediately in that workflow as it doesn’t meet the criteria of **updated in last 1 day**. Only deal would enrolled in the worklfow after completing the 1 day time **( 24 HOURS )**.

Hope this will helps you out. Please mark it as **Solution Accepted & Upvote** to help other Community member.
Thanks!

Thank you! I also added an “Unenrollment” factor for deals in any other stages, which I believe would add an extra layer of safeguard for the potential issue mentioned above. Thanks!
