Workflow criteria: exclude contacts who already received another email

Hello everyone!

I have been setting up HubSpot for our non-profit. While I was figuring out some things about automation, I sent out some emails manually, for instance a welcome email for people who join the organization.

Now I have a properly set up welcome email that I’d like to send out whenever somebody joins. However, I would like to exclude those people who already received the welcome email when I sent it out manually a while back.

What criteria should I be choosing in the workflow setup to accomplish that?

Thank you!

Hi @FedericoF,

You can click into the enrolment criteria box in the workflow, and in the left sidebar, specify unenrolment criteria in a dedicated tab.

Alternatively, you can set it up as a workflow goal: Use goals in contact-based workflows

In both cases, contacts will either not enroll or unenrol immediately. You’ll find your marketing email in the filter list under ‘Marketing emails’.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

Thank you very much for the quick reply @karstenkoehler ! Very much appreciated :raising_hands:t4:
