Workflow: copy values from an object that is not the base of the workflow

Need example:

Upon ticket creation, copy the company stage unto the new ticket only (not to all tickets).

Similarly, copy the SLA end date for ticket closure (again, per ticket).

What I would like to have available is: when creating a ticket based workflow, the ability to copy a value from the company level to the ticket.

At the moment, it’s only possible to copy a value from the object that the workflow is based on. This forces me to create a workaround from the company level as a trigger, but then the copy is pasted onto all tickets without having an ability to filter.

We have a use case where we’d like to be able to copy a user field value from the company (not the primary company owner) to the ticket owner property. This is super important for an efficient workflow without having to hard code values in workflows.
