How can I calculate the win rate per quarter (or month) per deal owner?
Hey @DGilormo7, thanks for reaching out! This is a really good question.
As far as I know, there, unfortunately, isn’t a way to display percentages within HubSpot reports. I have two thoughts on how you can get close though!
Option 1: Create a HubSpot report that you can export and manipulate in another tool
If having percentages displayed is crucial, then you can build HubSpot reports for:
- Deal create date = this quarter
- Date entered stage closed won = this quarter (and create date = this quarter if you want to look only at deals creted within the given qurter)
- Deal entered stage closed lost = this quarter (and create date = this quarter if you want to look only at deals creted within the given qurter)
You can then pull those values out of HubSpot and display them as needed.
Option 2: Create a pie chart in HubSpot (using the close date property)
This option will work only if you’re setting “Close date” appropriately. If you set the close date to the same date that the deal is moved into closed/won or closed/lost, then you’ll have a single date property that you can use to create a report. If that’s not how you’re using close date, you can create a custom close date property and create a workflow that will set a date stamp on that property if the deal moves to closed/won or closed/lost.
From there, you can build a pie chart that pulls in any deal with a “Close date” in this quarter. You can display the pipeline stage within the pie chart (and filter out any deals that aren’t in a closed deal stage or weren’t created within the same quarter) for a visual look at the won vs lost deals for an individual owner.
Hope this helps!!
These are solid solutions. However, I’m trying to keep HubSpot as the source of truth and avoid creating regularly needed reports outside of the platform. It’s just not sustainable or scalable. The pie chart also works, but I would have to create many pie charts (per account executive) to see how their win rate has evolved over time. It’s not enough to see that our win rate was X% this quarter. You want to see how their win rate has changed over time, which is why I like a quarter-over-quarter table.

Our sales motion is scaling rapidly, which means that count of deals over time is often inaccurate (more opportunities, and so even if the count is going up, the % may be going down). I often report on competitive win rates, closed lost reason, and other related metrics and need to be able to show % over time for these for it to be an accurate representation of progress.
Hi @DLapierre9,
