Hi @Anjumtal,
Business don’t fail because their website’s look bad. Honestly, a lot of them are actually well-designed visually. The main issue is that they are designed to just look professional rather than being designed to generate leads. A good-looking website alone doesn’t make people take action.
From what I’ve observed, these are the biggest reasons why websites fail to convert:
The messaging is unclear, there’s no proper user journey as many websites just keep talking about the company without guiding users toward a clear next step. Weak CTAs like “Learn More” or “Get Started” don’t create urgency.
The website should be more customer centric instead of being focused on business only. People care less about "we are innovative” and more about how can you solve their problems?
Trust-building is a major consideration factor as clean UI means nothing if there are no case studies, testimonials, real results, client proof or clear processes.
One thing more is that businesses often ask for too much information too early in website forms. Most visitors are not ready to fill 10 fields just to have an initial conversation.
Secondly, if you have no backend lead nurturing system, even if leads come in, many companies don’t have proper CRM workflows, email nurturing, follow-ups, or automation in place. So opportunities get lost.
At the end of the day, design is only one part of lead generation. Strategy, positioning, messaging, trust, user experience, and follow-up systems matter much more.
According to me a website should not just look good, it should guide users toward action.
