Why I can't search company by phone in global search?

When I use global search input, I can’t search company by phone number. Not sure why? Is it will be supported soon please? Thanks a lot!

Are you referring to the default company phone number field?

Yes, please see my test company with phone like this.

But when I search it, I get nothing.

@FLiu what happens when you perform the search with the plus sign, brackets, hyphens, and not searching for just the numbers?

@FLiu when I try this on my end, with a test record containing your number, I’m experiencing the same for different formattings.

Hey @FLiu

so the last thing to check is your profile/user permission

this could be the reason why your are not being able to use the search bar properly.

If you are not superadmin, you can ask a superadmin to review your permissions

you should be able to see all the objects and records and have account access too.

as Karsten said, this should work.

Here is a list of properties considered to be used in the Search bar

Take a special look at the part of using special characters because maybe you are searching 677-456-566

and maybe you can try the number without hyphen, 677456566 or 677 456 566.
