I’ve configured my hubspot such that I can view the incoming mail in the “Inbox” space, however, when viewing them, I cannot see to which deal they belong, although that when I go and open the deal, the string of mail appears. This confirms the mail gets assigned to the correct deal.
Why does the view not go the other way round?

Thank you for posting in our Community! Are you referring to the inbox inside “conversations”? If there is a deal associated with the email, it will show on the right side of the conversation:
Are you able to see this on your end? Or it’s showing there are no associated deals with that email? HubSpot has some association automation built-in, which is outlined in this article. Any activities (emails, calls, etc.) that are logged onto contact records will also automatically log on the contact’s 5 most recently associated open deals.
