Why aren’t emails from Lemlist campaigns syncing in HubSpot?

Hello,
I have activated Hubspot - lemlist integration. Can I please have more info on how this integration work? Also, why are emails sent from a lemlist campaign not synced with Hubspot? I’m still on a free seat, for a precision.
Thank you!
Best,
Anna

Hello @AnnL, Happy Wednesday!

Are you currently using this integration Zapier (HubSpot+Lemlist)? I was able to find more information about it here.

I also wanted to invite some of our subject matter experts to see if they have any suggestions:

Hi @StefaniUAT, @Daniel_Bleich, @Ben_M, @Mathias1, do you have any suggestions for the @AnnL matter?

Kindly,

Pam

The HubSpot–lemlist integration can sync contacts, companies, mapped properties, and campaign activities between the two platforms. In lemlist, please check:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → HubSpot and confirm the connection shows Connected.
  2. Under General settings, ensure contact creation/synchronization is enabled.
  3. Under Activities, verify that email activity synchronization is enabled.
  4. Check User Mapping so the lemlist sender is mapped to the correct HubSpot user.
  5. Open the Logs tab and look for failed or aborted sync events.

Sent emails and replies should generally appear on the matching HubSpot contact record under Activity → Emails. Opens and clicks may appear as notes instead, because HubSpot restricts third-party applications from writing those events to dedicated email objects. The contact must also already exist in HubSpot, or contact creation must be enabled, and the email address must match exactly.

The free HubSpot seat may affect the user’s permissions or ownership mapping, but it is not necessarily the reason that activities are missing.

Also, please note that field mappings are not retroactive, so mappings or activity settings enabled after a campaign was launched may not backfill historical data.

this link doesnt work

Hey @SHamawandy,
Thanks for following up here!
As this is a few years old, I’d need to re-tag @LAguillon to see if they recall what article they were linking at the time. Otherwise, I’d recommend using that link to pull up the search for what might be relevant to you on that website.
