Our customers need dedicated marketing team to support them because they have a challenging marketing responsibility but lack the resources needed to meet the challenge.
Our customers are responsible for marketing in their company, a small to medium size business (SMB) but only have 1 - 3 people that are available to them to execute their marketing strategies.
Savvy Samantha (or Sam for short)
40 year old married woman with two kids aged 8 and 12. She is employed in the healthcare field as a clinical social worker and likes to use holidays and three day weekends to take advantage of visiting new places near her home in Palm Coast.
Samantha’s motivation is to make the most of her limited vacation days and holiday weekends. She wants to travel and have adventures but also save money. Her challenges would be the amount of time and money she has available. Also finding places that she and her husband would be interested in visiting but the kids will enjoy as well.
This is some of my buyer persona I created for my travel-based brand that focuses on affordable family vacations.
I have really been blown away by the inbound course; everything up until now has been fundamental to the way I see our company, Apex Flow, and now, Buyer Personas just had to raise the roof a little bit more, thank you Hubspot.
Apex flow is in its infant days; we have little or no data to draw from in creating our buyer personas. How can a startup go through the process of creating its buyer personas without data of their own to leverage on?
Name: Startup Sarah
Demographics: 25-34, founder of an early-stage startup, under $200K annual revenue, small team.
Motivations: Wants fast brand awareness on a tight budget and quick, visible results.
Challenges: Limited budget, no time to manage marketing herself, unsure which strategies work.
Etc.: Prefers flexible packages and a responsive, easy-to-work-with agency.
Hi @JeffreyU and thanks for sharing your excitement, and congratulations on Apex Flow’s early days!
When you’re building buyer personas without your own data, you can start with external research, competitor insights, industry interviews, and team observations to create hypothesis-based personas. Then you can update your personas as you begin gathering real engagement and feedback.
Here’s a helpful HubSpot guide on creating buyer personas that you might find useful as you get started.
And here is an article about it: " Create and edit personas ".
Looking forward to seeing how Apex Flow grows!
Have a wonderful day @JeffreyU!

Hi Bérangère,
Thank you so much for the encouraging words and the congratulations!
Starting with hypothesis-based personas using competitor insights and industry interviews makes perfect sense for where we are right now. I really appreciate you sharing the HubSpot guides—they are exactly what I need to structure our initial research and make sure we’re targeting the right operational pain points from day one.
I’ll definitely dive into these resources as we map things out. Thanks again for the support, and I look forward to sharing our updates with the community as Apex Flow grows!
Have a wonderful day too!
Best,
Jeffrey
Ambitious Andy. Over 30, because he has some status, wants more & has to be capable of paying for comparatively expensive classes. Motivated a great deal more than the average person & very focused on his career. Struggles to find the time & energy to participate in classes. Understands the value of the classes & how they can help him maximize his career.
I have not actually thought of a buyer persona in the company where I work. But I feel the name of my buyer personal is Busy John, he works in a company and hardly has time for other activities outside work.
Name: Budgeting Bianca
Demographics: Single professional, late 20s to late 30s, monthly income R$6,000–10,000, lives in a mid-to-large city, no dependents, employed (not self-employed).
Motivations: Wants to stop feeling like her money “just disappears” every month, start building real wealth instead of only saving, and eventually reach financial independence — without needing to become a finance expert herself.
Challenges: Doesn’t know where to start (too many investment options, conflicting advice online), is wary of advisors who feel like they’re just pushing a product, and often feels her portfolio is too small to deserve “real” attention from a consultant.
Name:Mama sarah
Demographic:Majority females, with atleast one child not above the age of five, low income household, all races

This persona is the backbone of most residential construction businesses. When you tailor inbound strategy to her needs - clarity, trust, and communication the flywheel spins faster.
