Honestly, if they exist in your portal as a contact record, then people can see them and know who they are. Adding them to the never log list won’t add any additional information not already available to users.
In my experience, folks don’t even realize the never log list exists, so it’s hughly unlikely they’ll even see it. So in my opinion, if you want to make sure 1-to-1 emails aren’t logged but you want them to get marketing emails, adding them to the never log still works.
For customers enrolled in the Beta for Asset Permissioning- Lists, two security updates ensure the right individuals can access the right lists:
1. Consistency in filtering outside the lists tool: Users who see a limited set of lists, based on their team assignment, will only see those same lists across tools where lists can be filtered on. These include e-mail, workflows, reports, and the Contacts and Companies page.
2. Only Super Admins can assign a list back to All Teams. When a list is assigned to a team, members of that list are limited to records that have an owner inside that team (learn more about record ownership here). We have limited this functionality to super-admins because assigning a list back to All Teams enrolls all members who meet the list criteria, regardless of the owner.
Why does it matter?
As an admin, you want to be sure that users only see and use the data that are relevant to their role.
How does it work?
Assigning to a Team:
1. Click any list or various lists and select ‘Assign Teams’
2. Select the team you want to assign a list to. Super admins can select any team while users in specific teams can select any of the teams they are on. You will now see the names of the lists you’re assigning, if they’re being used in other assets, and more details about what occurs when assigning a list.
3. Assigning a list back to All Teams will be blocked for non Super Admins
Who gets it?
Marketing Enterprise, Sales Enterprise, and Service Enterprise enrolled in the Private Beta for Lists Team Permissions.
