I did a very simple test to prove that even when the Product and the Contact are in sync, when an Invoice is created from a Subscription, the QBO integration does not carry over the Service Period on the invoice. This makes it impossible for our bookkeeper to properly amortize invoices in QBO.
This is super frustrating.
Hi @ilonamiller,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I have noticed that you have already opened a support ticket regarding this matter. In order to avoid duplicating efforts and considering that the support team is in a better position to investigate the issue in depth, I would recommend continuing your interaction with them directly. They will be able to provide a more thorough resolution.
Best,
Diana
When an invoice is created from a Subscription , the QBO integration fails to carry over the Service Period, even if the Product and Contact are synced. This causes issues with proper amortization in QBO.
This is a MAJOR issue for us as well. I know many other Hubspot customers complaining about this too. As a Saas company we cannot properly perform revenue recognition in QBO due to these major integration shortcomings. @DianaGomez Is Hubspot prioritizing a fix for this? The current process requires all of your saas companies trying to use this integration to add a manual journal entry on QBO every month. This is a huge issue and had we known, we probably would not have moved forward with Hubspot. It poses a massive issue for scaling saas companies. Any advisement on when we might expect improvements would be hugely helpful.
Hey @CTucker9,
Thanks for providing this feedback! As this appears to be an integration limitation (see here - Connect HubSpot and QuickBooks Online Knowledge Base), we would highly recommend posting this idea directly in our Ideas Forum! This would allow other users to upvote your idea, expand on it, and reflect this need directly to our Product team!
