When an user open the same email multiple times, or clicks the same link multiple times...

When an user open or clicks an email address multiple times just send one task per open and one task per click to Salesforce. Don’t send duplicate tasks to Salesforce if a user opens the same email for the nth time as this clutters Salesforce with irrelevant info and creates unnecesarry API traffic.
Recently we had to manually delete 6.000.000 duplicate tasks in Salesforce, all from opens and clics that refered to the same user+email or the same user+email+link.

To add to Osvaldo’s idea, I worked with him on this issue. We saw that some emails were opened multiple times. This can happen because a contact opens the email directly several times, but in other case multiple opens are tracked depending on how the tracking pixel in an email is loaded, which often times is something outside of HubSpot control.

The idea would be to have a way to sync only Unique Opens/Clicks, like Osvaldo suggested.

Yes, syncing only Unique Opens/Clicks would be fantastic! This issue clutters SF for my team to the point we are considering turning off the Opens syncing.
