What's your favorite coaching tactic?

Ride alongs with reps during face to face customer meetings to better understand their weak and strong spots. Then from my observation assess their coaching needs.

I have a catalog of skills training broken out by category. This helps my reps and I more specifically define where our time is best served.

thank you

my faveriote coching tacktic is wher eu conciously get them to do task without realizing then painting a bigger picture mr miagi

want to know from others.

Have them expain to me in laymans terms what they want to accomplish, then change that conversation into an action plan for them.

First, the best coaching tactic consists in working with the sales team to reach their personal and professional goals although the steps that the sales team should be working on it

Shadow a sale and let the sales reps self-coach before providing my own feedback. Questions like “What do you think went well?” “What do you think you could improve on?” “What is one thing you can focus on before your next sale to make it better than this one?”

I schedule a one-on-one with all the reps, but using a different approach on each individual. I coach based on their challenges.

Call me crazy but I shape my 1:1s like a Discovery Call using Sollution Selling. More over getting them first enjoy their successes, but for those who aren’t performing as much,

I like to do the 1:1 coaching also like to use the team member.

But here is a question i have; How often should the slaes coaching be carried out or should there be a pare of the company that looks after that?

One of the best coaching techniques is to start with self-evalutaion. Let your rep lead the conversation. Then first reinforce or highlight the areas that they excelled at. When that is done now you can work on highlighting a single area for improvement that would have the highest value. Be clear and concise in that one area for them to work on in the next call or meeting.

Be should listen very carefuly to our reps problems to find thr gaps between reality and their goals

I use data comparison from our CRM to let that be the baseline for our coaching.
I then narrow in on 1 skill that we mutually agree needs tuning to perform better, agree on the goal - and we work on achieving that for the coming month.
In my experience this can be performed without questioning the sales reps personal authority but instead keeping a positive mindset on improving little at a time.

I like the idea of one-on-one meetings, listening the sales reps, and focus on specific areas they need to improve, and create a plan focus in those specifi areas. Every sales rep is different so every sale rep needs a different approach and plan to be successful.

To focus on skills needed and attitudes of salesperson to zero in on specific areas that I can help develop.

During 1-1 sessions, I have the reps spend 3-5 minutes writing an outline of their current sales process. Then, we talk about content, flow and exit strategies that get them from one stage to the next. I learn as much from that exercise as they do!

I have never really coached, but I’ve been coached. What I’ve found that works best for me is repetition. So the example given of the golf coach telling the person to take 100 swings made perfect sense to me.

It is important to understand and find your individual approach to each customer. Therefore, I find new ideas and ways to interact with each customer at every stage of sales. The main factor in any sale is to close the problem and become not only a reliable partner, but also a friend on whom the customer can rely at any time.
I try to share my experience and knowledge with all team members.
