What's your creative process?

my creative process is consuming a lot of media and letting it all marinate

My way is simple i try to watch my competitors or someone in my niche and try to get the idea.

The creative process is a structured journey that transforms an initial spark into a finished product through distinct, manageable stages

Continuing the discussion from the Generating Content Ideas

Whenever I am quiet or in silence, ideas come to me instantly. If I don’t write them down, I usually forget them. So, I make it a habit to note down my ideas whenever they come to me.

I tend to come up with new ideas through the books and magazines I read, from the world around me from museums, taking walks, connecting with other people, exploring or watching videos.

Curiosity help me generate good and better ideas

Being human would makes you want to know more about something

One thing I do to come up with new ideas is look at customer questions, common problems, and trending topics in my industry. These often reveal useful content ideas that I may not think of on my own.

I can turn this into a repeatable framework by following a simple process:

  1. Collect ideas from customer feedback, FAQs, competitors, social media, and industry trends.

  2. Group ideas into common themes or topics.

  3. Evaluate each idea based on audience relevance, search potential, and business goals.

  4. Prioritize the best ideas and turn them into blog posts, social content, videos, or other formats.

  5. Review the results and use engagement and performance data to improve future ideas.

Using the same process regularly makes brainstorming more consistent and also gives collaborators a clear framework for contributing and developing new content ideas.

Innovating pre-existing ideas systematically as well as exploring your target audiences current problems and brain storming from there forward.

I read a lot of poetry and sufi philosophy and I use it to poetically describe my lived experience to tell my personal story by painting a picture with words. I find inspiration in music, books, nature as well as observing the world especially that of animals and children.

One thing I do to get new ideas is look at examples, do some research, and think about my own experiences. I also write down my ideas and then choose the one I like best. I can use the same steps every time: research, think of ideas, choose the best idea, create it, and ask for feedback. This can also help when working with a group because everyone can share their ideas.

taking a walk in nature with my headphone helps me in generating new ideas for me too

Until now, I would just wait for motivation, but that changes now.

ideas come to me naturally when i least expect it. i don’t try to force it. and i’m an over-consumer, plus inspirations are everywhere. you just have to be open to seeing them, even in the most mundane routines. and research too.

I turn to my latest distraction. There has always been some kind of activity I can engage in to take my mind off of what I am “supposed to be” thinking about. Currently it’s playing my drums.

Listening to my favorite music, writing new music and going outdoors - the mountains or beach.

I seem to be able to come up with ideas when I feel inspired and overflowing with that inspiration, and that happens when I’m reading consistently and I’m present in my day and living it consciously and having my own share of experiences.
