Gamification can act as a compass for behaviours that focus on key, meaningful actions that support the sales objectives. Mini 48 hour contests with rewards can help maintain focus.
My sugestion is removing menial tasks (otherwise things that have nothing to do with actual selling) and giving them an stable, functional framework for managing leads. It’s been the focus of our current dynamic, and it’s been an essential element in our 75% increase in sales bookings.
Not having a clear process with effective tools is the worst situation. This lowers moral because of time wasting or micro managing as a result of the poor process.
Use automation where it makes sense but the biggest suggestion is TALK TO YOUR REPS. Find out what they actually need versus creating systems and processes that you"think" they want. Find out what they actually want and need and be real in what you need to get from their data and process for other departments and reporting.
We employ part time team members so that they are at work when it suits them. Their KPI’s inlcude a 70% ‘active conatct’ period. it works most days, unless of course I become a ‘time thief’ and recuce their productivity.
Companies should implement automation for the data entry work by reps as this is takes extra time for manual data entry so that they can spend the maximum time on sales as their main job . It will be helpful for the sales person to focus more on sales as compared to other administrative task.
