What's an example of a lead nurturing campaign in action?

An example would be if someone signs up for an account on your business platform, uses the platform once and then goes X amount of time without using the platform again - you could set up an automated email to remind them of the benefits, ask for feedback, and entice them to come back.

A welcome series; those who sign up for our newsletter recieves a welcome to the family email 4 hours afterwards. It is a hello from the founder and what to expect as far as marketing emails. Then, 3 days later an ask to follow on social media to stay in the loop on all things red letter goods.

Hi! I read your example and wanted to say I ike the welcome to the family email. What might make it even better, is sending it within a few minutes, instead of hours maybe? I read in the presentation that chances of an inbound lead becoming qualified are 21x greater when they’re contacted within 5 minutes vs 30 minutes or longer. Good luck!

I have written a five email welcome series. It triggers as soon as they fill out the contact form. I am working towards a lead magnet the will preclude the welcome series.

That’s awesome Suzanne! You’re helping build trust from the beginning :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s important to look at two sides to behavior. What goes in content-wise that doesn’t come out. Yes, the non-response. An example would be someone who signed up for your email list, got the freebie, and then stopped opening your content; it just sits in their email box.

A good second action to take would be to involve them in your next move. Automate an email that says, I noticed that I haven’t heard from you in a while and missed you. We all get busy sometimes, so I thought I’d give you some of the best tools we came up with while you were away.

So, here’s some of my latest helpful tools, let me know what you think of these. Another follow-up would come if they respond to your tool and download it, or if they don’t open it again.

I haven’t heard from you and miss you though is a powerful play if you have disclosed to this person the authentic side of yourself.

(1) Send those that opened a content offer to readers pf a blog, (2) contact individually all those that downloaded the content

Personally I like the welcoming email from ‘‘Saas weekly’’. It is different from all others and stands out, it has more of a personal touch. Not only making expectations clear, but also really starting a conversation, which for me builds trust. I’m not sure if it is allowed to share online, but since it’s all positive, what harm can it do :slightly_smiling_face:

Leverage the most common scenario for e-shops. Automatically contact those site visitors who added any item to their shopping cart, but for some reason didn’t complete the buying process. You can contact them to:

  1. remind them of their forgotten purchase (“There is a giraffe left in your shopping cart!”)
  2. get valuable feedback on why they didn’t finish the purchase (“Not enough space for a giraffe?”)
  3. offer a special discount to your loyal, long-term buyers (“You were about to buy a third giraffe – get it with free delivery now!”)

behavioral emails, follw with information that starts conversation

As I tailor it to my business needs, an example of effective marketing automation is sending my prospective clients appropriate resources. If their previous behavior suggests that they are interested in availing of bookkeeping services, then the information that would be sent to them is about that topic.

I recently received an email from a grocery subscription service I enrolled in. I was shopping around for a specific type of coffee. Then a few days later I got en email with a discount for that type of coffee. Lead nurturing in action!

There are companies that when you submit something or buy something they send you a thank you. In addition they send you an email or add it to the thank you email of thing you may be interested in. Amazon is a great example of this.

Recently, I have clicked to the link for my favourite clothing brand. I have got welcome mail, and question do I want to receive notification (reward for yes is 10% off  )

After few days I got notification about new collection, relevant to me, so I ended up reading article online.

After few weeks got info about seasonal sale of old collection

After few days again, they notify me about discounts and so on…

The thing is, they catch contact, and then with relevant topic to me, and vallue added, they mannaged to interest me to stay on their NL, blog, or online shop.

Atract, listen (watch) for preferences, and add value, and then keep nurture

Sending a personalized to acknowledge the person and ask for questions and how you can be of help in the next process will do for nurturing…

For some hot leads that have sign up on our website, we will send them some email about our upcoming campaign with attractive promotion.

For some warm leads that have sign up our content series, based on their interested topic, we will send some email about education news, article on blogs that related to the topic that they like.

An example of marketing automation would be signing up for email communication with an online store for the 10% discount on your first order. Following that initial purchase, you’ll often receive another email for another discount on a future purchase. Maybe you didn’t make an initial purchase but left something in your cart; you’re very likely to receive another email reminding you of the item you’ve yet to purchase or a discount code for that exact item.

Offering your customers something they can use in their own business.

This marketing automation is based on an organization that provides interactive, live classes (in-person and virtual) for children. Once the parent enrolls their child in a class and subscribes, we create an email series based on sending content revolving around their child’s specific interests. Ex. the child takes an “Adventure Club” class which consists of examing bugs and learning about different plant species. We will now set an automation that sends blog posts regarding bugs, plants, environmental current events, and learning materials. We also send upcoming adventure-style classes for the child to re-engage with.

A good example would be ebay providing with offers that might match to your previous buying tastes or relevant searches saved or logged in. The foundamental princinple of the nuturing and lead would be through sales discounts of products that the company might think you are interested or attracted to. Like amazon they might bulk out the offers to involve other products.
