Hi everyone,
I am new here and completing my Content Marketing course on Hubspot. I was on my 3rd Lesson - Planning a Long-Term Content Strategy, where the instructor shares tips on creating SMART goals.
This tip is pretty vanilla. What I really wanted to know was what type of content should I target to increase my website’s organic visitors to capture more leads.
should my content be sales oriented? or educational? Also, is it cool to add a bit of promotion in the conclusion for educational content? I mean does it convert?
Hi @Qasim28693
Lots of questions here - happy to help get the conversation going!
The type of content you create should be based on the stage of the buyer’s journey your customer is in - Awareness, Consideration, or Decision.
Aligning your content around these stages will help you to identify keywords that align with what your potential customers need in each phase - it is important to understand the search intent behind your keywords.
What are they looking for and does your content answer that question?
Hello @Qasim28693
Glad to know you’re taking the content marketing certification course. There is still much more for you to learn and uncover as you progress.
In addition to what @Jnix284 has said and to also answer one of your questions, your content can be both sales and education oriented. What will help you know when to create these types of content and to whom to direct them will be to understand your audience and segment them. When each audience segment is nurtured with content that’s relevant and helpful, you won’t find it difficult to convert them.
Let’s keep this conversation going by telling us more about your product offering and audience class.
