What segments have you created that have led to greater engagement?

Heyy, Im still new to email marketing and im still learning more about it, I have not segmented my audience yet .

  1. Location-Based Segmentation: Leveraging geographic data to deliver location-specific content or promotions can enhance relevance and drive engagement. For example, promoting events or deals that are happening nearby can encourage users to take action.
  1. Visual Contrast: The blue color provided stronger visual contrast against the background, making the buttons more noticeable and prompting users to take action.

I have segmented the following: customer segmentation (purchasing/non-purchasing,) job title, location, and size firmographics.

I have worked on creating emails for a company that is in the auto industry. Some of the segments we have are dealers, agents, region and company size. I’d like to come up with more that are even more specific because these feel slightly vague for the size of our company and the amount of people on our email lists.

What segments have you created that have led to greater engagement?

I’ve created targeted segments within our B2B Records management services to drive engagement. By segmenting clients based on company size, locations, information management software, and decision-makers, I’ve honed our approach to deliver tailored solutions. This strategic segmentation has empowered us to deploy targeted marketing strategies, personalized communication, and streamlined integration processes, ultimately enhancing client satisfaction and fostering stronger relationships.

I created re-engagement email on customers who had not opened the newsletter for over six months, interestingly the conversion rate was good.

In my previous position, we used segmentation to narrow emails for specific sports and engagement rates on attending events. We were able to track ticket scans to target basketball fans who attended five or more games to offer an upsell to season tickets. It saw strong returns.

I applied segmentation in my previous role, sending separate personalized emails to football lovers and basketball lovers. I worked for a sports company

After a week, please provide the open rates of these two and express the result in percentage.

I’ve worked on a number of email marketing projects. I’ve used different segmentation approaches depending upon the nature of the project. I’ve created segmentations based on industry, region, time zone, the not interested, OOO prospects etc. for greater engagement.

This is a new role for me but I am looking forward to using segmentation to target customers that are no longer engaged and would like to convert.

Segmentation has never been a focus for our company. We serve 150 small businesses across several industry verticals in the US and Canada, so the email marketing we provide to our customers has to resonate with their customers. We’ve never been able to integrate either, so my hope is to bring us into the 21st century.

Segment by product sales, application focus, form downloads, states, and cities.

We have segmented the people who were taking latin dance courses and send them promo emails if they would like to enroll in next level before their course ends. It worked very efficiently we had a 35% of conversion rate.
