What makes inbound sales different?

Comparing inbound sales to Copywriting, I’ll say that inbound focuses on just one prospect, volume isn’t considered hence everything is personalised as against Copywriting which aims to convert many on a one-to-many basis

I would have to say Inbound Sales Strategy is something I have used before, but with a different name: What Is In It For Them? (WIIIFM?)

ALso, loving the structure presented. Very complete.

Hello, I have worked in sales for many years and the methodology we used to use, is called consultative sales. So far, It seems similar to Inbound sales, but I imagine that I’ll be learning more through the course.

In my company, I believe we’ve been doing inbound sales ever since it wasn’t just called that term. My own term for the sales work that we practice is “empathic salesmanship”.

With such a broad ways of contacting prospective clients and my biggest skill of thinking outside of the box I have been able to get my company a large amount of new clients by simply doing things different and not using conventional ways of contacting

I believe that inbound sales is majorly about meeting potential customers where they are, at a confused state or a state where they haven’t decided on what to do and leading them to where they can make a buying decision

When I first started sales, people mentioned Zig Ziglar. Inbound is the 2021 method to sales. When working with a fortune 500 company, knowing what the marketers are thinking is crucial in this day.

These terms are actually new to me as I’ve only started to learn about sales, wanting to shift to a different career or connecting it to my present career. I’ve learned that inbound sales are more contextual and offers a more connected approach to its buyers. Thank you for this lesson!

It is the same way I do as a sales professional. Before connecting with prospects I do active research and prepare buyer personally and study prosect’s social media behavior.

Inbound sales to me is up close and personal. It gives you a closer look into the buyers intent and persona, which gives you the ability to match products to the customers specific needs. With inbound sales it is all about research. If you know the consumers/customers buying habits, demographics, ect., it gives you a better idea of who they are and what they are looking for. You can then use those needs to guide the customer during the sales process.

I think I’ve always had this approach but have kept a more personable aspect to retain sales, not so much a focus on inbound/new/generating sales from scratch!

I’ve always questioned the common sales phrase “always be closing.” Customers are often salespeople themselves and can recognize closing tactics a mile away - they’ve used the same ones. After learning about the buyer’s journey and considering the sales process from the customer’s perspective, I think the saying should be amended to “always be learning.” Salespeoples should be gathering as much relevant information as possible to aid their roles as consultants.

Inbound sales create a connection with the buyer. If a salesperson is not able to connect with the buyer the most probably outcome is a relation without a closing negotiation. The buyer needs to create a bundle with the company which he is buying the service/product, otherwise, the client will go away if he found it in another company that understood better his needs.

Though our company has been using inbound sales for quite some time, I’m new to sales and think that this is a great way of going about it. Customers need to be treated as individuals and not some blank template. It’s no longer a product or service we sell, it’s how we can grow the customer’s business and help them succeed.

Inbound sales in my experience have some differences in the process. I have to use the outdated process for demonstration in the elder customer who don’t need any document or certification but they have only trusted the brand and I have to educated, support, and guided new customers who have no information about the product before and have to describe the information to someone who can decide.

Well, I just realized that everything I was doign was wrong. I never thought about asserting the four specialized points like ( Identify, connect, explore, advise phases). Now, I understand why most of the times I was failing.

Inbound sales have some differences in the way they perform this sales, because they tried to make the prospects fell comfortable, and they help the prospects in their awareness phase, by matching and transforming their sales strategy.

Inbound sales is more personal and it helps meet the customers need instead of the old method of forcing a sale on a customer whether they need what you are offering or not.

Inbound sales to me is being genuine yet prompt. Listening to the customer and providing relavant information they may not already know regarding your company/product and advising them on what you think would be in their best intrest, even if that doesnt involve a sale, as not to waist either of your time that you could be closing sales.
