What is your favorite video hosting platform and why?

Different video platforms provide an array of analytics and metrics to understand your video performance and engagement. We’d love to learn about which video hosting platform you’re using. Please reply to this post and answer the below questions:

  • Which video platform are you using?
  • Why do you use this platform? Is it because of its performance metrics? Customizability? Ease of use?

*To learn more about this, check out the Video Metrics to Track and How to Analyze Them lesson via HubSpot Academy.

I’m considering the Vidyard platform as I know it from my time in Brand Movers and from working with Markus Sheridan and Andrew Davis. That said, first things first… I need to build a video marketing strategy for my current employeer and theeeeeen convince them that this is the right way to go (as part of our inbound efforts) in a new markets where ‘awareness’ is still the no.1. focus

Hi @StineHolmgaard

Vidyard is a great platform! We also use Wistia. Both of them integrate very nicely with HubSpot, so you can report and measure success on your video marketing efforts.

Of course, as you mentioned, strategy comes first, and it will help you showcase the value of video to your team. You can also get your team to get used to video and see the value by showing how people are already using it. Get one or two people from your sales or customer service teams to use video regularly to communicate with leads and customers. They can use the Soapbox by Wistia app or the Vidyard screen recording tool, both Chrome extensions that allow you to create video easily from your computer with your webcam. These people will become allies when you are trying to convince your boss to use more video in your marketing, sales, and customer service efforts.

Another aspect of the video marketing impact conversation is that video should be treated as a long-term marketing effort, like we treat blog articles, instead of a one-off effort. If someone asked you what the ROI from your first two blogs was, you would not have enough data to give an appropriate response. After a year of blogging consistently, using the right keywords, and providing valuable content, you would definitely have the data to prove that blogging increases visits, leads, and potentially customers. Video and video marketing efforts work the same way.

Here’s a video we put together on how to create a video marketing strategy.

Do you have any questions about the strategy process?

Any challenges so far?

Here you also have a case study where we combined HubSpot and Wistia to prove the overall impact of video.

I hope this helps!

Thanks and have a great weekend.

I use Youtube because of all of the consumer traction. The possibility of consumer metrics is so much higher than other off brand video platforms

I truly love Vimeo, I don’t only use it as a hosting platform, but I also like to read their blogs and learn about video production with them. Although, I took a look on Wistia and I found it very good too.

I love using YouTube for many reasons, for starters it was the platform that I grew up using as a consumer and appreciate how its community has evolved over time. YouTube is the perfect place to upload and reach a certain audience if you strategically and intentionally plan out accordingly.

I use TikTok because it’s interactive and easy to use

facebook

Definately youtube. Theres a lot of information there on any topic and very easy to search for.

Youtube. I use it more than TV. Almost all relevant video content is hosted there.

Am using Tik Tok and share to FB & IG.

Easy, trending and I find it more effective : )

tik tok

I am new to creating videos however I think I will be utilising fb, youtube and ig alot to host.

It will be interesting to learn about the different performance metrics to determine if one platform will be used more frequently than the other.

YouTube and ease/audience

Canvas and IMovie

They are straight forward and inexpensive.

I like to use Youtube because most of the consumer attractions and consumer metrics are high in the brand video to gain viewers
