What do you update when you clone a campaign?

Hey there! I am a product manager at HubSpot, and we are working on improving the campaign cloning experience.

  • When you clone a campaign, what types of information are you generally updating and why?
  • What elements state the same?
  • Do you use tokens in your clone campaigns? If so, what do you generally tokenize?

Hey there @Nick_B thank you for posting!

Could you please make it possible to clone tasks as well when you’re cloning a campaign?

I really like the new marketing studio and today you can clone basically any asset related to a campaign - besides the internal things such as tasks, even though they are a core fundamental for ensuring an effective process.

I’m all for moving more of ours and our clients processes into HubSpot and can see a huge potential in utilizing Breeze to not only optimize performance of our campaigns but also the process of creating them. But when you, as we do, have between 30-50 individual steps for each campaign from development to launch to optimization/re-activation, it’s super (!) frustrating, that you have to create every single one of them manually whenever you want to do a new campaign. I firmly believe we can’t be the only ones and if you have more than 5 single tasks related to a campaign it seems like a waste of time to set them up yourself plus it increases the risks of making mistakes or working inconsistently across a marketing team.

Hello @EmmaMunk,

Thanks for chiming in here! I completely understand where you’re coming from, but I encourage you to add this to this existing feature request that I’ve found here!

Ideas posted in this forum are seen and reviewed directly by our product team regularly, and this is the best way to raise feature requests and increase the chance it will become a feature in the future, as well as receive updates on any future developments.

I understand this is not a fix, but I hope this helps point you in the right direction!

Have a great weekend!
