Hey, I am Julian and iam starting my resell bussiness on facebook. What kind of content should I post to generate traffic? Can someone give me a well detailed example? My main goal is to generate traffic to my page.
Hi @JPerkins5,
Thanks for reaching out! I moved your post to the Social Media Study Group to give it more visibility.
I would like to invite our experts to this conversation to see if they have advice.
Hi @danmoyle, @Sam62, @DavidDennison, @Jnix284 - Do you have any content tips for @JPerkins5?
Thank you!
Best,
Kristen
Hi @JPerkins5 ,
I recommend joining groups that are relevant to what you are reselling and then sharing posts from your page in those groups.
I wouldn’t just share the page or spam the group, but finding relevant content to share is what groups are all about.
Thanks so much for the advice, but I don’t know what content to create in the first place do I just share post of my products, or do I actually need to create content on my Facebook page. For instance, post about movements and motivational videos I believe i.
@JPerkins5 I recommend canva, it is a free design tool that will make it easy to use your product photos to create posts for Facebook. It’s a great way to get ideas for what to post.
It’s hard to make a recommendation without knowing what you are selling and who you are trying to sell to.
I resell anything I can get my hands on. There’s no real niche to it. My target Audience are typically lower class but anyone who wants a good deal on something. Do you think I need to develop a niche?
@Jnix284 that’s a great recommendaiton, using Canva to make beautiful featured product posts. Love that!
Hi @JPerkins5. Instead of asking what content to create, I’d suggest starting with understanding your buyer personas. Once you understand them, you can begin to strategize content ideas. I’ve been doing this for more than 12 years now, and it’s not a magic answer. If I could run a cord from my brain to yours and unpack 12+ years of work, mistakes, wins, ideas, and more all to your brain, that would be great. But it’s not that easy.
A few questions to ask yourself as you begin to plan content marketing:
- What problem am I solving for?
- What do my customers look for in their content?
- Are my customers looking to be entertained? Looking for tutorials?
I suspect that if you’re trying to resell random products, you may want to lean into paid ads, as you want immediate attention and conversions, not long-term content marketing.
Just my two cents.
