How can I improve the skills here on HubSpot using different Tools and Techniques?
Hi @nvmhubspot and welcome, it’s a pleasure to have you here!
I love to see you posting on the HubSpot Community, great question, thanks! ![]()

Hey @nvmhubspot!
It really depends on your goals and the direction you’d like to take within the HubSpot ecosystem.
HubSpot Academy is a great place to build a solid foundation, but if you’re not working at a HubSpot partner, one of the best ways to gain practical experience is by participating in the HubSpot Community. You can help other users troubleshoot their issues, which pushes you to explore solutions using your current knowledge while also learning new features and best practices along the way.
It also helps to connect with HubSpot experts who regularly share insights, product updates, and real-world use cases. Staying engaged with the community is one of the fastest ways to keep learning and growing your expertise.

Hi @nvmhubspot,
I’d start by completing all of the HubSpot software related certifications on the HubSpot Academy (HubSpot Marketing Software Certification, HubSpot Sales Software Certification etc).
Additionally, HubSpot Admin HUGs are a great way to stay in the loop about new features particularly: HubSpot Admins HUG | HubSpot Academy & Community Programs
After getting into a rhythm here, I’d recommend setting up your own test portal (free CRM account) and testing as many things as you can there. Depending on on whether you’re willing to upgrade, you won’t be able to do everything but still have a place where it doesn’t matter if you break anything. This is the part where HubSpot built a paywall which is hard to surmount if you’re on your own. If you can already tap into a HubSpot portal (by freelancing for a HubSpot partner, getting access to a sandbox within your company’s HubSpot portal or similar), that’s of course great. In that case, just confirm with the admins that testing things is fine.
Lastly, monitoring community conversations like this one will definitely help.
All the best,
Karsten
