This [article here](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/reports/install-the-hubspot-tracking-code) defines how the Hubspot tracking code is collecting this data via cookie tracking. _‘HubSpot tracks visitors using [browser cookies](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/reports/what-cookies-does-hubspot-set-in-a-visitor-s-browser). Every time a visitor lands on your website, HubSpot will check for an existing tracking cookie.
