# Webhook subscription scopes

while calling the api of create subscription it giving me the error ““The scope needed for this API call isn’t available for public use. If you have questions, contact support or post in our developer forum.””

with the status code 403. I’ve already added the crm.objects.contacts.read scope for eventType - contact.creation give me the sopes or the way to complete this.

Hey, @07035👋 Is this [**the endpoint**](https://developers.hubspot.com/beta-docs/reference/api/webhooks#post-%2Fwebhooks%2Fv3%2F%7Bappid%7D%2Fsubscriptions) you are trying to use? If so, the Managing Subscription Webhook endpoints require you to use your [**Developer API key**](https://developers.hubspot.com/beta-docs/guides/apps/overview#developer-account-api-keys). This is separate from what you’ll use for OAuth or a Private App.
