For as long as I’ve been using HubSpot, at every job, I’ve heard the same #1 problem from everyone:

**Visual Heirarchy.**

HubSpot is a Dyslexic Nightmare. All records read exactly the same at a glance - sure, you can put a progress bar on Deals, or simplify the layout of Tickets, but there’s no real _visual_ _texture_. 90% of my visits to other desks result in: “Yep, you’re looking at a Company record. You’re looking for the Contact” - and they had NO idea what they were looking at.

The Solution? **Copy from people who do it better than you.** **Copy what Notion does**.

Give us the ability to add a Color or Gradient to the top banner of our records, or an Emoji selector that can be added to customize or tag records in an informal way. These visual touchstones help people figure out what they’re looking at, find familiar items, and FLY through the interface, instead of clicking through 6 identical looking tabs while the day trickles away.

Absolutely! And if you can’t add customisation at the very least please create a visual differentiation between record types (e.g. contact, ticket, deal) so we can tell at a glance what we are looking at! This is by far the most difficult part of teaching HubSpot to new users and it could be easily solved.

Totally agree, surprised there are so few upvotes. One thing I will throw out there in way of suggestion:
HubSpot could clone some of their existing Theme/Template/Brand Assets etc to allow for this.
We also use a lot of custom objects so it would be extra helpful when we use our custom objects that represent similar data that is used in different ways.
ie 'This is the same property name across 3 objects, but I know this is the one for [Thing] because the record is [Color]
