I find it very frustrating when I am looking through the activity of a persons contact record and can only see #-clicks of a marketing email, and I can not actually see what they clicked on. The # of clicks only has a limited value, we need to see WHAT they clicked on to learn something. I understand that you can go to the marketing email analytics and the dig down deep into who clicked what but that is like 3 extra steps for simple information that should be available.
Appreciate the feedback @gjphilli, this is a very good idea. I’ve shared with my team and we’ll see if this is something we can update. As we have news on it I’ll keep you posted. Thanks!
Everything They said above I completely agree with - when doing a marketing email you can often have multiple points of interest each with their own differing topic/product etc.
Lets say you have 2 products advertised in a marketing email and Joe clicked a link in that email, in order for your sales team to action on the click they need to know what product the contact was interested in. (FYI our sales team does not use HubSpot they use salesforce and only see the hubspot window of activity). It’s unreasonable to go to the marketing team and ask “what link did so and so click” EVERY time. Also the window doesn’t even show the name when it’s a call to action it just shows the hubspot form code…
@Shay, Love HubSpot, so hope you can add this as it’s a pretty basic need for sales reps to see what links a prospect clicked on when doing phone follow-up. Crazy to ask a sales rep to break stride when calling and go dig when you’re already displaying “clicked”. Would be 10x helpful to add each link the contact clicked.
Thanks for tagging on @Berky, and providing your perspective, it’s always helpful! While we don’t have a concrete timeline on this feature, it’s definitely something that we’ve talked about on our end. As we have more news I’ll keep this post updated

Yes please. It is so frustrating not being able to see what blog posts a contact has read out of my email newsletter. So much actionable data going wasted unless we adopt convoluted workarounds. I want for me and my sales team to be able to read a contact’s timeline and see what they are engaged with. I see this idea was first posted a year ago. I sincerely hope it is close to be actioned.
This would be especially helpful for us as a media organisation - we highlight a number of articles to read on our website.
@michellelewis, it is frustrating to have such a basic feature lacking in such a great system. Mailchimp has had this for a long time. @Shay , any progress in this feature to track which links clicked in an email right within a prospect’s record?
Any update on this? We have multiple people in our cmpany that need stats on specific links that may or may not have been clicked on in an email. This type of information is easily read in any other email platform I have ever used. Please allow us to click one link to see a report of who clicked on what so I can send to the right person. Super frustrating to have to dig for 30 minutes or more.
Yes, we use this with the sales team so if they know what links they click on, how to provide relevant follow ups. Right now having them go to the Email section increases the time to do this task several times over!
Totally agree with this. We send out newsletter-style EDMs. Each article is on one of our pillar topics, to see which topic interests the Contact in their Activity log would be super useful for telemarketers and Contact owners. The information is hidden within HubSpot. Please make it accessible!
Can we bring this feature ASAP? Even our basic Email-marketing app before we changed to HubSpot had this feature to see what they have clicked on a newsletter when you looked up a Contact-Person. Please bring this ASAP! Thanks!
This feature is still missing and is vital in building up lead scores to showcase intent towards specific services/products of interest. Can a Hubspot rep please share an update of where this stands?
