Using Hubspot to manage Job Hunting Relationships

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has tried to use Hubspot for managing relationships and opportunities during Job-Hunting? Job opportunities are just like sales opportunities. Target employers are just like Sales Prospects, each vacancy is just like a deal … I appreciate any feedback. Cheers Holger

Hi @HAltvater,

While HubSpot isn’t made specifically for this purpose, you can definitely use it that way, yes. It would make it easy to track the conversations you’re having with recruiters and keep an overview of your opportunities. It can also help with more complex hiring processes where you’re talking to multiple stakeholders you want to keep track off.

Something that you should keep in mind is that, at least from a first glance, you’re potentially processing the data of individuals without their consent and I’m not sure whether the typical assumed legitimate interest holds up here. You might want to consult a legal professional for this. If you’re planning to offer this to applicants at a scale, that would be relevant. (My reply does not constitute legal advice.)

From the perspective of tracking applicants, you might find this thread interesting and inspiring: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/CRM/Using-HubSpot-CRM-as-an-Applicant-Tracking-System-ATS/m-p/301552
