Hello,
I want to automate lead status to change to contacted when a sales rep receives an email or an SMS. Currently, it updates only when the outcome of the call as connected. The other 2 are updated manually has anybody implemented this?
TIA

Hey @mwmartinez, certainly possible.
For the email reply, you could use the field of “Recent sales email reply date” is “Known” to capture that, as for the SMS that can be trickier as you’d need a SMS tool that posts that back to HubSpot. Does it do that currently?
As for that reply workflow, it should look something like this:
TYSM this worked
Hi Chris this solution did work; however, now I am noticing that emails sent to the email replies to the accounts linked to the chatflows (we have 2) are being enrolled in this workflow as well how do I avoid that? I only want emails sent from the accounts rep to update the sales recent email date or add a trigger to remove the replies from those accounts.
Thank you in advance.
I have a similar issue - I have a workflow that sets lead status as “Attempted to Connect” when my reps reach ouyt to a contact/lead, that works fine using “Email direction is any of Outbound.”
The next step is where I’m experiencing issues: I want to update the lead status to “Connected” once that contact/lead has replied to my rep, but I can’t seem to find a way to make it work.
-Using “email direction is any of inbound” doesn’t work since the emails nest, replies don’t record as an inbound email
-Using "Sbj line contains any of ‘re:’ doesn’t work because if my reps follow up in the same email thread, the subject line adds the “re:”, even though there’s been no email from the contact/lead
- Using ‘recent sales email replied date’ is not seeming to capture all of them either, this property only seems to update some of the time, I can’t figure out what triggers
- All other email properties are related to marketing emails, which does me no good, as this is a sales process.
