Different content/course length in various languages of the certification courses

Hi,

I’m currently working on the Digital Marketing Certification course in German. I noticed that the English version is not only four hours shorter than the German one (a similar difference exists, for example, in the Social Media Marketing course), but also covers different content (e.g., psychological aspects of consumer behavior).

What accounts for these differences? And do you have any advice on whether I should prefer one version over the other?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @mfcreatives,

I’m seeing a significantly smaller difference, around 2.5 hours:

EN: https://academy.hubspot.com/courses/digital-marketing

DE: https://academy.hubspot.de/courses/digital-marketing

One obvious reason is that it takes longer to explain things in German. With 10–11 lessons, that adds up a bit.

Often, changes and updates in the English versions of the courses are implemented a bit faster. This also explains the minor content differences, including the additions of psychology and AI.

If you definitely want to see the most up-to-date version of the learning materials, I’d recommend the English courses. If you’re more comfortable with German and play the videos at 1.25x speed, the time difference shouldn’t be that big anymore

Best regards!

Thank you very much for the reply!

The minutes weren’t showing up for me, and I had mixed up the time with another course, which explains the 4h vs 2.5h difference. Thank you for the explanation. I was just wondering and wanted to ask.

Thanks also for the advice. I’ll probably just do both versions of the course, that way I’ll definitely have learned all the content

Have a nice weekend!
