Hi Community,

I would like to create a workflow that is triggered once a contact unsubscribes or their email bounces, then I would like to mark them as non-marketing contacts and add them to a list ‘unsubscribed’ and remove them from all other lists. Here comes the problem, for some reason I can only remove them from static lists but they may have been added to an active list. Would I maybe have to edit the filter of my active list?

Hi @AvonKuhn,

Correct, active lists cannot be updated via workflow. You would have to update your list criteria to exclude contacts where “Unsubscribed from all email” = True and where “Email hard bounce reason” is known.

While you’re at it, I’d recommend excluding these contacts as well:

- Email is unknown
- Invalid email is true
- Email domain is any of [your competitor’s email domains]

Hope this helps!
