Unpublish form

Imagine a company’s frustration with not having an Unpublish feature when we actually pay for the advanced packages at a cost of 10’s of $1,000’s per year for the past 6 years.

@ScottHopper

Based on the feedback I’ve seen, we rarely get any results from it. My nonprofit is currently auditing HubSpot to see what has been an upsell, what has changed since the upsell, and how much we actually need it. For example, Commerce Hub has changed the way Sales Hub is needed or operated. They are never upfront about this, though, and we constantly have to do our own detective work to make comparisons. Really annoying. I used to recommend HubSpot to my coworkers, always trying to show them the value in the price they charge, but this is getting old—it’s exhausting to look into their “updates” and the cost/value/need/changes related to them (if there are any).

It would be very helpful to have this feature!

Another +1 for this feature. I don’t understand why this is not already implemented.

Please allow forms to be unpublished.

Commenting to bump this. Phrased differently - ability to prevent new submissions or use on forms without losing the historical metrics tied to them.

There’s risk in leaving old forms accessible if you need to keep them for conversion metrics. Left with having to comment ‘do not use’ in Naming conventions and move forms to ‘legacy’ Folders. That said, the forms still appear as options when accessing form search from a page editor.

If anything, the ‘published’ status for forms is confusing

Hi everyone,

I’d like to thank you all for taking the time to submit, vote and comment on this Idea.

My name is Jenny and I’m the new Product Manager of the Forms & CTA tool.

I’m happy to report that this Idea is now In Development! This means that our engineers are actively building this feature as we speak.

The product development process is always filled with unexpected bumps and hurdles, so I can’t give a timeline, but I am confident in saying we’ll deliver this feature as soon as possible (currently planned for Q1).

All updates will be relayed on this thread, so stay tuned!

Thanks

Jenny Mueller

This is great news. Thank you, Jenny!

@JennyMueller coming in :fire: with what feels like is a Christmas miracle!

@JennyMueller Can you give a short update on this - is it still planned to be delivered in Q1?

Just seconding all the great suggestions here. For us, the most valuable changes would be…

  • An option to disable submission on forms
    • Where the form itself remains visible to those with the link, but the ‘submit’ button is disabled. Ideally, we would have a toggle in the form editor that would replace the “submit” button with “This form is no longer accepting submissions”.
  • An option to fully disable the form link (much like we can with pages on our website -- the data is retained, but the customer sees “nothing found” when navigating to the url)
  • Separating active and inactive forms in two views
    • Keeping the disabled form accessible in “forms” would be ideal. That would…
      • Allow us to still clone it for similar future events
      • Allow us to retain submission data and other analytics

Glad to hear it’s in development!

Any updates here?

Hi everyone,

I’m happy to share that the unpublish feature is now available in Private Beta.

We’re planning to open this up as a Public Beta in the coming weeks.

We’re very much looking forward to your feedback.

Best regards,
Jenny Mueller

@JennyMueller, I’m super happy and looking forward to the public beta.

This is great news. How do we get added to the beta?

@JennyMueller Is there an update on when this beta will go public or a way to join the private beta?

Thank you!

Thank you @JennyMueller .

Any idea when the Unpublish Form beta will be accepting more users?

Hi @JennyMueller

Yesterday HubSpot had a date flagged/marked for this beta’s release. Today that date is gone again and the status is still just “Public Beta.” Since your last update in this thread was back in March, could you give us a quick status check — where does this currently stand, and is there a new timeline?

Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

I am excited to announce that this feature was delivered to all customers.

We could not have built this feature without your help. Thank you all for taking the time to submit, vote and comment on this Idea.
