I am being asked to track clicks to ungated content as bottom-of-funnel engagement/leads. Is there a way to assign a blind form submit when someone clicks a link to the ungated content from the email?
I am struggling with reporting on lead interest since we aren’t having them fill out a form anymore. In another ESP tool I used before, I could set a blind form submit based on the click. I can’t seem to find a way to do this in Hubspot.
Is anyone else doing ungated content tracking as bottom-of-funnel engagement/leads? I cannot use the “any click in the email be counted as an activity” because Hubspot includes clicks to “view page in browser” as real clicks.
HubSpot tracks email clicks, so you can report on if a contact clicked a specific link, button, or CTA. You would simply create lists based on those criteria which gives a list of contacts who engaged with the ungated content.
Not sure what your emails look like but using CTAs is the most scalable option, as CTAs are a filter option for the creation of list, and CTAs can be re-used. So you could recylce the same CTA that points to “Whitepaper A”.
Alternatively you can create lists and filter by marketing email activity, you select the email in question and which link they need to have clicked. This is a bit more cumbersome and doesn’t scale too well - every email and every link needs to added as a list filter, but it will return the required results.
I hope that helps, let me know if you have anymore questions.
