unenroll contact from sequence when associated deal changes deal stage

Hi, it would be great to make some option available to unenroll a contact when the deal stage changes.

There are several options that I’ve tried so far, but for all of them have a limitation.

1) Contact based workflow, won’t re-enroll because it cannot based on deal triggers (deal stage = updated in 0 days and pipeline)

2) Deal based workflow, does not give the option to unenroll the associated contact (deal stage = updates in 0 days and pipeline) Not either when there is a associated contact trigger inserted.

3) Include unenroll criteria in sequence, is not possible since it only gives the option to custom include a unenrollment trigger for contacts who viewed a page or submitted a form.

4) based on a deal active list, cannot be re-enrolled because the object of the workflow is something else than a list.

Yes, I can make a field where the current associated deal stage is updated in every time it changes and make a workflow based on that. But this is probably something that more people have problems with.

Found a workaround using 2 workflows

First, make a contact based property. Mine is called: “current associated deal stage”

Then, make 2 workflows, a deal based and a contact based.

Do not use the “updated in 0 days” filter as a trigger, but the “property changed” filter in events.

Make the deal workflow update the field in contact, and the contact workflow unenroll the contact from a sequence.
