Unauthorized “adwords@hubspot.com” Integration on Google Ads Account

Hello HubSpot Community,

I’m experiencing an issue with HubSpot Ads integration that I hope someone from the support team can help me resolve.

What’s happening:

  • An unexpected developer token adwords@hubspot.com is making changes in my Google Ads account.
  • I did not authorize this email or token.

What I’ve done so far:

  1. I reached out to the Google Ads API team.
  2. They confirmed that this token was created without my knowledge and advised me to contact HubSpot to revoke the token and secure my account.
  3. Please see the attached screenshot of their response for full context.

Request:

  • Please investigate how the token for adwords@hubspot.com was created and used.
  • Help me revoke or remove this unauthorized integration.
  • Advise on any additional steps I should take to secure my HubSpot Ads connection.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. I look forward to your guidance on resolving this as quickly as possible.

Hey, @ELo1 :waving_hand: You accepted this user when you installed the Google Ads Integration. If you’ve uninstalled the integration, the access will be revoked. Source "“Your use of the Google Ads integration is subject to the Google Ads Terms and Conditions. HubSpot will be able to view and manage your account, and will store your Google Ads account number. When you authorize the integration, HubSpot receives a user token with permissions on the connected ad accounts. HubSpot can view but does not store all the ad accounts you have permission for. Google will share settings details (e.g., name, budget, bid strategy, creative) and performance metrics (impressions, clicks, etc.) for all campaigns, ad groups, and ads in the ad accounts you connected.”
