I added a contact to a company, the contacts email was not the same as company so I had to manually add it.
Now, I want to remove that contact from the company and associate it with another company.
How do I do that?
Also, I have a question,
If I add mark@abccompany.com to XYZ Company (xyzcompany.com) will all future emails coming from contacts inside abccompany (john@abccompany) be automatically added to XYZ Company?
The reason for this is we deal with brokers that have representatives handling different companies. Thus we would add that representative to the company record he deals with
Is there another method we can use to organize this?
This is where you can either click Preview and rename the company record or click X, remove the association and associate a new company.
And yes, there is an automatic association in place for activities of contacts and companies that are associated. Activities (calls, emails, meetings, notes) logged to a contact will also reflect on the company record.
I have kind of the same issue where customers are associated to a company automatically but the company is the host company of the email adress. I’d like to deassociate those contacts from the company with a workflow that includes existing and future contacts ?
What happens to interactions (calls, emails, tasks, etc.) with a contact when they are unassociated with a company? Do those details still exist on the company record?
