Unable to ronnect email account

My admin wasn’t able to help after giving me all the access, how do i reconnect my email account?

Hi there @edmonton,

Thank you for posting to the Community!

Have you tried to clear your cache since the admin changed your email permissions?

Also, can you confirm that your email is not connected to the Conversations Inbox OR Helpdesk? Emails can only be connected to one tool at a time - see here

Hi @edmonton !

Without being able to see your permission set it’s hard to say for sure, but just based on the screenshots provided I would bet good money that is from the “Personal Email Access” permission setting.

If this setting is disabled for your user, that will produce these errors you are seeing. This permission can be found in your permission settings, under the “Account Settings” section. I’d have your HubSpot admin check this and ensure it is turned ON. If it was off, you’ll want to log out of HubSpot everywhere after they turn it on, then log back in and try connecting your email within your General Settings, under the “Email” tab.

If this setting is already enabled and you are still encountering this issue, let me know and I’m happy to help troubleshoot further!

Hi Lindsey, My admin have the setting turned on. They have no idea why my account is a free account since they are paying for it. Is there anyways I could contact support?

Yes It’s also connected now

Hi @edmonton !

So just to be sure I’m understanding correctly - your Admin was able to adjust your permissions to allow you to connect your email, but it still says you are using a Free version despite your employer paying for a subscription?

Assuming your company does have a Pro or Enterprise HubSpot Subscription, your Admin can absolutely reach out to HubSpot Support for help! That number is 1-888-482-7768 ext. 3

If your Subscription is lower than Pro, direct calls to Support are not supported, but I do believe you should still be able to Chat Support by clicking the “?” icon in your HubSpot instance.

Some Troubleshooting tips:

  1. Have your Admin check your Seat Assignment, it’s possible you have a Free seat instead of a Core, Service or Sales Seat, which would cause some limitations.
  2. Confirm your HubSpot Account ID is correct by clicking your Icon in the top right hand corner and viewing your “Account” number, and confirm it matches the account number for your Company. (I’ve had users join our Team but the system creates them their own Free account instead of syncing them to our Company account, this may have happened to you as well)

If your Account ID is correct and you do have a Core, Sales or Service seat but the system is still saying you are a Free user and restricting your access, I would absolutely have your Admin reach out to Support directly, it’s very possible there is some sort of disconnect between your user and the Account itself that they’d need to dig into.

Hopefully that helps but keep me posted!

Thank you,
