Unable to complete HubSpot Academy “Make a Call” exercise without upgrading

Hi, I’m currently completing the HubSpot Academy “Make a Call” practice exercise.

The exercise instructs me to open a CRM contact with a phone number and place a call directly from the contact record.

However, when I click “Call” and then “Get started,” I’m redirected to a page asking me to upgrade to the Starter Customer Platform.

Is there a way to complete this Academy practice exercise without upgrading to a paid plan? Or is there another way to simulate the call within Practice Mode?

Hi @TomokoOyama,

Some exercises require higher plans, there isn’t practice mode, no.

You could:

  • Upgrade to Service / Sales Hub Starter for a single month
  • Request a Service / Sales Hub Professional trial for 14 days from sales

In the free CRM, this cannot be done / completed.
