When scheduling reports to send via email, I’m unable to select “Attach downloadable file.” It says:
This type of report will be available to export to others in the future.
This would allow me to unlock so much and save time doing data analytics. Is there a timeline for this feature to be available, or can we request it to be unlocked for us?

HubSpot very rarely discloses exact timelines for product updates. The fact that it’s already mentioned means it at least is in the roadmap - and that’s more than can be said about many other requested features. If you want to speed things up, you could discuss and flag it with your customer success manager, encourage others to do so as well, or create (and promote) a request in the HubSpot Ideas section.

You’re running into a known limitation in HubSpot right now.
Not all report types support the “Attach downloadable file” option in scheduled emails, especially custom reports built with certain visualization types or using advanced filters. The message you’re seeing means that this specific report format isn’t yet supported for file export via email. All you can do is view the product updates as Karsten said.
What you can do instead:
Try cloning the report and simplify it (e.g. switch to a table format or remove some advanced filters). Then check if the option becomes available.
If you have Operations Hub Professional or Enterprise, you can build a custom workflow that sends out a file using custom code and HubSpot’s export API (bit hacky, but doable).
As Karsten mentioned, upvote or comment on this idea in the HubSpot Ideas forum. HubSpot product team monitors that space for demand.

Custom Reports Included in Email Shares with Attachments
What is it?
Custom reports can now be attached when you share dashboards or reports via email. This fixes an issue that previously caused custom reports to be omitted from email attachments.
Why does it matter?
If you rely on scheduled or one-time email shares to distribute insights to stakeholders who don’t log into HubSpot regularly, missing custom reports broke your workflow and made email sharing unreliable. Custom reports now behave consistently with all other report types, so your email shares are complete every time.
How does it work?
No action is required on your part. Custom reports will now automatically attach when sharing dashboards or individual reports via email, whether scheduled or ad hoc.
If you have a recurring email scheduled for a dashboard that includes custom reports, those reports will now be included without any changes to your setup.
