Unable to Access HubSpot Account – “Suspected Malicious Activity” Error

Subject: Unable to Access HubSpot Account – “Suspected Malicious Activity” Error

Hi HubSpot Community,

I’m writing on behalf of another user who is an authorized new user being added to our company’s HubSpot account. However, when they try to access the account, they receive a message stating “suspected malicious activity.”

We have confirmed that they are using the correct email address and that the account administrator is expecting them to have access. However, they are unable to complete the access or login process because of this security restriction.

Could someone please advise on how we can resolve this issue or what steps the account administrator needs to take to verify their access?

Thank you for your help.

Hi @desirehearts,

Welcome to the community! :star:

The “suspected malicious activity” message can be triggered by HubSpot’s login-security checks when a sign-in appears unusual— for example, from a new device, browser, network, VPN, or location.

Please make sure the user is signing in at app.hubspot.com/login, then try an incognito window, clear browser cookies/cache, disable any VPN or proxy, and complete the verification email if prompted.

If the issue persists, reaching out directly to HubSpot Support would be the fastest path to resolution since they’ll have visibility into what’s triggering the block.

Hope this helps while we wait for any additional peer input!
