Expected behavior:
When my UI/account is configured to English, all date labels and month names in the CRM (including contact records) should appear in English (e.g. “February”, “Feb.”).
Actual behaviour:
On the contact record page above, month names appear in French even though the UI is meant to be in English. Examples:
The word “February” is shown as “février”.
Dates use a mixed format like “xx févr. XXXX”, where “févr.” is the French abbreviation for February.
This is happening in the core UI, not just in localized content.
Steps to reproduce:
Log into portal 147596830 with the UI language set to English.
Open any contact record, e.g. the URL above.
Look at properties or UI sections that display dates in February.
Notice that the month names/abbreviations are in French (“février”, “févr.”) while the rest of the interface is in English.
Hi there @1THarrison, and thank you for your detailed post!
I found a couple of Knowledge Base articles that should help clarify what’s happening with your language settings:
If you’re still having that issue, this article is also helpful:
I’m also tagging a few community experts for additional insight. Hey there @RubenBurdin@Crystal_Hopper and @RSchweighart , I hope you’re having a great week! Any additional ideas here?
Click the Language dropdown menu and select a language. Switching your language will automatically adjust your Date & number format.
To change the date and number format, click the Date, time, and number format dropdown menu, then select a region.
I choose ENGLISH as my language
but when I choose FRANCE as my region it changes the presentation of dates but only dates - everything else is governed by language choice.
I want my language choice to be complete and not partial. If I were to select an alternative region as a workaround then I start getting a load of other problems such as timestamps etc.
