Goal: To easily identify which CRM object view (Contacts, Companies, Deals, etc.) I am currently looking at through clear visual cues.
The Problem: Right now, the UI/UX for the index views of all objects is identical. When navigating quickly between tabs or switching from a Deal view to a Contact view, there is no immediate visual distinction. It’s very easy to get confused or lost within the tool, having to look closely at the small text or breadcrumbs to confirm where I am.
Proposed Solution: Introduce subtle but clear visual indicators for each object. This could be:
- Color-coded headers or backgrounds: A subtle top bar color or background tint unique to each object (e.g., light blue for Contacts, light green for Companies, orange for Deals).
- Distinct Object Icons: Larger or colored icons next to the view name.
Why this matters: This small UI change would significantly reduce cognitive load, improve navigation speed, and prevent users from making mistakes (like searching for a deal property inside a contact view). It makes the HubSpot UX much more intuitive and user-friendly for daily operations.
