We are struggling to understand how exactly licenses work when we create an application with UI Extensions functionality (Accounts Dashboard | HubSpot), so we have a couple of questions related to it:
1) Is it correct that if we install the application with UI Extensions, built on a different org, to the org with a Sales Hub Professional license, it will still work for all users?
From this documentation quote, it seems like a license is needed only for development: “While a Sales Hub or Service Hub Enterprise account is needed to create UI extensions, a paid seat is not required to view UI extensions or custom tabs on CRM records. Any user in the account will be able to view and use UI extensions once uploaded to the account.”
2) Do we need to have an account with the Sales Hub or Service Hub Enterprise license to build such an app when we already have the UI Extensions functionality available on developer org? The documentation says that the account where the application is going to be built should have the required license (a Sales Hub or Service Hub Enterprise), but we can see that we can work with this functionality using development org from an account with Sales Hub Professional.
3) In case the application was built in an org/account with the required license and uploaded to some other organizations/accounts with various licenses, what happens when the source/development org changes its license to some lower version: from Service Hub Enterprise to Sales Hub Professional? Is it going to disable the application on any org/account it was installed?
