Turn form submission into an email, for ease of reply-by-email

We have form submissions coming in as tickets, with the info (name, description, contact, email) all separated into different fields on the left- and right-hand sides. In order to respond by email in such a way that all of that shows along with our response, we’ve had to create a work-around “Template” in order to drop the information into our replies. It would be excellent if there were an option to transform the form submission into an incoming email — or at least a one-clickable option for copying the information and dropping it into an email reply.

@ninafpf you can do this currently, it is just HubSpot branded.

Go to the form you want to receive a submission notification from. Click Edit Form. From the options at the top of the edit page - Form, Follow-up, Options,& Style & Preview - choose Options. There is a place to enter the email of a specific person or persons you want to send a submission notification to or right above it is send notification to contacts owner.

Thanks benesch_e — however, this isn’t quite what my idea is about. We’re getting notifications where we want them. But when we reply by email to form submission, we would like to have the info from the submission right on our email, for easy reference. We’re currently doing this with snippets or templates, but it’s more clicks than we’d like it to be, doesn’t include the time of day, etc. Thanks again.

Also came here to request the same. Especially being able to hit “reply” and have the email going to the email address specified within the form submission.

Any updates here? Really would love to be able to hit reply on the form submission email and actually reply to the submitted email address, literally responding to the submitter’s email address. And being able to customize the subject line of these form submission email notifications, that would be amazing.

Yep also voting for this feature.

Really need this ASAP. Can’t believe it still doesn’t exist.

Tickets created by Forms won’t show any correspondence in the Customer Portal because the Agent can’t reply to the Form. The Agent can’t reply to the Form, so they create a new email to reply (which is a new “Conversation”), and only the oldest “conversation” thread shows in the Customer Portal. How was this ever pushed to production?

We need the ability to reply to Forms within the same “Conversation” OR the Customer Portal needs to be corrected such that all correspondence in the Ticket surfaces to the customer in the same way it appears to the Agent. At present, the Customer Portal is useless because of this Form “functionality”.
