I have set the following properties up in my account in Deal Object and Contact Object. Just trying to map the properties at this point to use the sync-message api call.

I was able to import them if I change enabled to false, but that just makes them show up in the GET [https://api.hubapi.com/extensions/ecomm/v1/settings](https://api.hubapi.com/extensions/ecomm/v1/settings) not enabled. Any help would be great!!

Request:

POST [https://api.hubapi.com/extensions/ecomm/v1/settings](https://api.hubapi.com/extensions/ecomm/v1/settings)

```auto
{
 "enabled": true,
 "importOnInstall": false,
 "contactSyncSettings": {
 "properties": [
 {
 	"propertyName": "my_code_first",
 "dataType": "STRING",
 "targetHubspotProperty": "my_code_first"
 },
 {
 	"propertyName": "my_code_last",
 "dataType": "STRING",
 "targetHubspotProperty": "my_code_last"
 }
 ]
 },
 "dealSyncSettings": {
 "properties": [
 {
 "propertyName": "my_code",
 "dataType": "STRING",
 "targetHubspotProperty": "my_code"
 }
 ]
 }
}
```

Response

```auto
{
 "status": "error",
 "message": "Missing required DEAL targetHubspotProperties : [dealstage]",
Hey @ckonkel,
This error occured because the required mappings for `_Deal_` - specifically `_dealstage_` wasn’t defined when your team upsert the ecommerce settings.
You would need to include `dealstage` under the `dealSyncSettings` properties array.
Do let me know if this works for you!
There are a few properties that **must** be mapped in your ecomm settings. See the documentation on [Ecomm Bridge Overview](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/methods/ecomm-bridge/ecomm-bridge-overview) and search on the page for “Required Properties” section. (see screenshot below)
According to the docs, each object type must have certain properties defined in ecomm mapping settings. You must also include a value for these required properties when you attempt to import a CRM object. Otherwise Hubspot will not create the new object.
With a test portal try adding these properties to your ecomm settings. Attempt the import again, but make sure to provide an email address for Contact objects and a valid dealStage for Deal objects. The dealStage value must actually exist in your portal.
